Positive Thinking

The power of positive thinking Research has shown that positive thinking may aid in healing the sick. According to US new age author Terry Smith, two study groups were told they had been given a drug to improve their condition.

One group received the drug for their treatment, while the other only received a placebo.
The latter group showed a significant improvement in their condition, although they didnt actually receive any drug treatment. Apparently, the group that received the placebo improved because they believed they had received the drug treatment. Their positive disposition seemed to have contributed to their wellness. Studies have also shown that positive thinking may be calming.
Positive thoughts can produce chemicals in the brain - called endorphins which, when released, produce a feeling of well being in a person. People who have a sense of well-being are happier people and tend to get along better with others.

Change negative thoughts into positive ones

Daily affirmations can empower you to change your negative thought patterns into positive ones. Simply write down a few positive statements and read them to yourself every morning. Alternatively, write an affirmation (e.g. I will have a happy day today) ten times.

If you catch yourself thinking negatively, simply reverse the negative thought by looking at things in a positive light and maybe even having a talk to yourself.

Take positive action

While words are wonderful, action will get things done and change lives. Taking action gives you a goal, creates parameters of discipline and gives a sense of accomplishment when the task is complete.
You can live your way into healthy thinking, but you can't think your way into healthy living!
